Near North is the historic core of North Minneapolis, a culturally Black neighborhood centered on Plymouth Avenue and home to the Capri Theater, the Sumner Library, and Farview Park.
Over the 90 days ending June 2026, the MPD recorded 448 crime incidents in Near North. The most common were simple assault and destruction.
